Staffordshire Hoard: Origins

In 2009, the Staffordshire Hoard was found. It is the largest collection of Anglo-Saxon gold, silver and metalwork to be discovered. This story is a glimpse into the possible ways the Staffordshire Hoard made its way to England, over a thousand years ago.  

We follow Egbart The Unprepared, an Anglo-Saxon leader with his accomplice and long-time companion Alfred The Ready. On this fateful night, Egbart saw a vision of the future that told of a distant land where he and his tribe must take their valuable gold and metals as it would not be safe anywhere else.  

They spent the following week preparing their longboat for travel and then set off to sea. Where will this quest take this tribe of Anglo-Saxons?
